RATE INCREASE FAQ

This page will answer the most frequently asked questions about our upcoming rate increase.

Why are rates increasing?

We have not increased our rates in over 6 years. Much has changed since then, including overhead costs, administrative costs and more. In order to maintain the quality of care we provide to our community and the quality work-place we pride ourselves on for our employees, the time has come that we must implement a slight increase to offset rising costs.

Isn’t my Copay set by my insurance company?

For in-network providers, the answer is yes. However, we have always been an Out-of-Network Provider with all insurance plans. As an out-of-network provider, the amounts that you are responsible for are called a co-insurance percentage, which is subject to our rates – not the rates set by insurance companies. As out-of-network providers, we are not subject to the contractual obligations, additional paperwork, limitations and exclusions, that in-network providers must abide by. Not being bound by in-network restrictions is how we have, and will continue, to provide the exceptional quality of care that we are known for.

When will my rate increase?

All rate increases will take place on Tuesday, August 1st.

How much will my rate increase by?

All rates will increase by $10. If your current rate is $50, your new rate will be $60, etc.

What services does this apply to?

This $10 increase will apply to individual, couple’s, family and group sessions. Any current fees that you pay for any services will be increased by $10. If your current group rate is $0, your new rate will be $10.

What if I don’t agree or can’t afford the $10 increase?

While we hope you will choose to support us in this necessary increase, we understand if you choose to pursue care elsewhere. Your current therapist can help you try to locate an in-network provider within the 60 day timeline. We began notification of this price increase on 5/29/23. This price is not set to increase until 8/1/23. This should provide ample time for you to work with your therapist to find a potential in-network or lower rate provider.
