This is an intuitive eating support group to help connect teens in the community with others who are also looking to heal their relationship with food and body.
Whether you are just beginning to learn about intuitive eating or have been practicing, this group is designed to meet everyone where they are in their own journey. With diet culture being rampant throughout our society, the road to rejecting it can often feel like a lonely one. In this group, you will be provided with a safe space to gather and gain support from like-minded individuals to navigate the ups and downs of becoming an intuitive eater. Having a group of people, who understand that the journey to food freedom is about embracing the successes and down falls, creates an empowering environment for change.
We were all born with the innate ability to be an Intuitive Eater. Diet culture such as societal expectations, body comparison, negative body image comments, and weight loss disconnects us from how we feel around food and challenges our body cues.
Intuitive Eating is a PROCESS. It does not happen overnight. It is a journey that is different for everyone, but if you stick to the process with compassion and kindness for yourself, it is POSSIBLE to heal your relationship with food and get back to living a fulfilling life without the obsession and guilt surrounding your food choices.
THIS GROUP IS FOR PEOPLE WHO:
- Are interested in Intuitive Eating (maybe you’ve read the book?) but looking for more support.
- Learn and connect with the experiences of others who are integrating the principles of intuitive eating in their lives.
- Better understand the principles of intuitive eating and how to integrate them into your own life.
- Who are looking to heal their relationship with their body and with food
- Love to learn and grow as a person!
