We invite you to get to know Rosa in her own words….

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?

I have learned that I can achieve what my heart desires as long as I define my vision.

What is your favorite part about working for Nourish Your Mind?

My favorite part is the space I get to provide therapy from. It is relaxing and grounding. I also really love that I feel supported and encouraged to expand my knowledge and skills through trainings.

Tell me how you first got involved in with Social Work . . .

I’ve always had a great interest in the study of the mind. When I graduated High school I knew I wanted to study psychology. In 2007 my college advisor strongly recommended the Social Work 101 class. After a few classes, I was quickly convinced this line of work was my calling in life.

What do you like most about your job?

The connection that I make with my clients and the ability to implement movement and meditation in my sessions.

How would you describe your therapeutic style?

Client Centered, integrative and proactive.

What do you feel makes you unique as a therapist?

My ability to connect with others and my extensive experience and deep belief in meditation and movement.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

I was a salsa dance performer and I love to sing.

Motto or personal mantra?

My happy place is the present moment.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about seeking counseling for the first time?

You are brave.

If you were an animal what would you be? And why?

I would be a monkey. Easy-going and playful.
